alitlebitofthis...began in 1984 as a small boutique store in a prominent music school in Sherman Oaks, California. Owner Natalie Arouh saw an opportunity to offer music and children's items to parents and children attending the school. When a private music teacher walked into the store and invited her to attend their convention, the shift from children's items to music gifts took hold and so began the exhibiting side of
alittebitofthis... Ms. Arouh has exhibited at prestigious shows and festivals for 19 years. A list of some shows are The Monterey Jazz Festival, Playboy Jazz Festival, both Monterey and Long Beach Blues Festivals, music teacher conventions,
ACDA, ORFF, MENC, PTG, and NAMM, RPMDA and Sweet Adeline’s and Barbershop Conventions.
About the same time, the largest music store in the San Fernando Valley named Baxter Northup Music saw the lucrative potential of having a "wall of gifts" in their store. Thus the selling to retail stores, distributing to stores around the country and world began.
